Tel-U is Crowned Champions in Business Simulation Competition in The 2nd IPB Business Festival in 2014

BANDUNG, TEL-U. Telkom university’s delegation has successfully become the champions in 2014’s Business Simulation Challenge in IPB Business Festival (IBF). The 2nd Business Festival is a National and Global scope competition in which becomes part of the event held by collaboration between BEM KM IPB and UKM Century.

Developing the quality of human resources in emerging a creative entrepreneurial spirit to commemorate the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2015 is considered as the main theme carried by the event holders in The 2nd IPB Business Festival.

In the series of contests starting from 1-22 November in 2014, Telkom University has successfully managed to send 8 teams to the semifinal round in which consist of 2 teams from the Industrial Engineering Faculty and 6 teams from the Faculty of Economics and Business

JA TITAN software is used as a standard software that is being used by the contestants, where all participants are expected to design a strategy in running a company in a cyberspace industry.

Each team is expected to create a strategic business decision at each stage of the competition where all scoring systems will be based on the JA TITAN software

In the final stage on November 22nd, 2014, 8 teams have successfully managed to get through. Where Telkom University dominating the final stage with a substantial number of delegations with 5.

Information regarding the announcement of the winner in this competition will be held on November 23rd. Desy Geriadi and Aulia Rahmah Fitria, MBTI 2011 students have successfully managed to win the tournament in 2014 IBF Business Simulation, They earn Rp. 3.000.000, a plaque, and a certificate as a champion’s prize.

As for second goes to delegations from Universitas Terbuka while third place is for delegations from ITB. (purel/nando)
